I recently watched Gotham for the first time, and it was so much fun! It was balls-to-the-wall insane--the different takes on the classic characters, the dark humor, the camp. MY GOD, THE CAMP!! I ate all that shit up lol.

Anyway, I happened to be off work for the last couple of weeks and decided to bust out my sketchbooks to get these off my chest.

I feel like there's not enough selina headcannons, which is fair because she's painted as the main love interest in most media and gets content from that but I don't really see much acknowledgement of her as a member of the batfam within fandom. I'm serious I'll take anything

Strange lady in the house who miraculously spawns cats with her appearance doesn't really pitch in with the parenting but insists on cooking a family meal once a month, that she makes sure they all eat even if they're not in the same room.

Give me weird kinda aunty selina Kyle that used to come around and spoil the older kids when they were younger but the rest don't really know anything about her. Like

Dick: yeah remember when Selina used to come over for date nights and she'd sneak us one of her latest steals

Jason: oh yeah one time I got this massive ruby

Tim: how come I never got anything like that

Give me stepmom Selina Kyle who Damien literally can't stand, she reacts like the fiance from parent trap. Each trying to annoy the other but she's the person he goes to when he's worried about his animals and she trusts him to help her rehabilitate strays.

Give me a female figure to check in on Cass from time to time even though she thinks she doesn't need it, cause almost everyone in that house uses 3in1 body wash and she can't let the girl suffer (this excludes Dick but you can't tell me that Bruce wouldn't just grunt something about efficency)

Selina spotting Stephanie and Duke around the city and having to remind them that, it doesn't matter that Bruce gave you that as a gift you know better than walking around the narrows with a 2k watch, and taking them shopping in whatever the US version of primark is.

She's grown so much from just a love interest. Just give me Selina and her relationship with the kids outside the context of being someone their dad dates. (I can only take so many "eww they're flirting" jokes)

Your "Summon the Cat" AU for the AU headcanon ask game

I love this AU! It's so fun to write.

Danny never quite trust Bruce even after he starts trying harder. Not actually because of the he didn't trust Danny (makes sense in his head) or because of him acting similarly to the Fentons (Bruce actually learns from his mistake and tries to be better) but because Bruce could hurt Selina when they are in costume. The Fentons might not have loved Danny, but they at least loved each other.

Because Selina is known to be Catwoman, there are a lot of people in the criminal/hero world that either know or assume Danny is Cheshire. There just is a lack of proof

Jazz, Steph and Cass get to a point where they realize they went to fast in their relationship, especially Jazz who would not have gone as far if she weren't in such vulnerable position. They don't quite take a break, but they do slow down significantly to make sure everyone's feelings are being taken care of and respected. It helps the triad come out the other side with a much stronger relationship.

Selina has a very serious conversation with Danny about boundaries in and out of costume. She wants him to have a relationship with his brothers without the constant paranoia if he's going to steal from them, or if they are going to try and turn him in. She's enjoyed her teasing relationship with Bruce a lot, but she can see that such a dynamic would be really unhealthy and dangerous for Danny.

Jason obviously doesn't respect Bruce much, but he loses even more respect for him because of these events. Treating Selina and Danny with suspicion, "allowing" Danny to be harmed by the Fentons (even if Bruce couldn't have known), trying to stop the others from having a relationship with Danny, etc. These all remind him too much of his own fraught relationship with Bruce, and his own feelings on Bruce's failures.

i watched batman returns over christmas because it's a christmas movie that i haven't seen in a while, and i think, despite bruce not having a whole lot of screen time, he might be my favorite version. genuinely wanted oswald to find his parents, fell in love at first sight with selina and spent the entire time looking at her like she put the stars in the sky herself, and when he realized that she was catwoman he spent the rest of the movie trying to save her from herself. he was also trying to stop schrek, not as batman, but as bruce wayne, using his connections and money to stop a power plant that would've hurt gotham, and at the end of the movie he picks up a black cat in the snow where he thinks he saw selina. there's also this one bit when alfred gives him what he thinks is soup and has the most human reaction to finding it cold that a man can have while trying to stop crime in a cave he made specifically for it and it warms my heart every time
